From sharp white jeans to denim finishing touches, here are our favorite denim trends that will accompany you throughout this season and beyond.

WHITE JEANS: THE PERFECT SUMMER CANVAS

Whatever is the white of your choice and the occasion you plan to wear them for, you can create your look around them.

Everything works. Cropped top and mules? Check. Fitted top and the-higher-the-heel-the-better-I-feel platform sandals? Relaxed t-shirt and sneakers? Denim on denim (on denim)? Check, check and check. Woven platforms or espadrille wedges and raffia bag? Leather? Sequins? Feathers?

E-ve-ry-thing!

Ganni, Tom Ford, Frame

WIDE JEANS: LET’S GET LOOSE

Words can’t express how much we love them.

Cool, classy, comfy… we were going to say casual but nowadays, you can wear a pair of jeans and dress as down or up, as minimal or as more-is-more as you please, can't you?

If we had to pick one denim trend only, we wouldn’t hesitate a second, and we believe you guys feel the same way as wide, loose, relaxed, baggy, the-roomier-the-better jeans, some of them (runway or sideway) floor-sweeping, others with asymmetric waistlines or eye-catching cut-outs, are the most in-demand silhouette from our denim edit.

Chloé, Citizens of Humanity, R13

CARGO JEANS: NO BAG? NO PROBLEM!

One of this (and the upcoming) season’s key trends.

Big, baggy and bold nod to the Y2K era, a trend that took the fashion world by storm. Über comfortable and incredibly versatile jeans that can take you from day to night.

Ways of rocking a pair of cargo jeans? At least as many as the pockets on them!

Off-White, Isabel Marant Etoile, GCDS

DENIM JACKET: THE MUST-HAVE LAYER

This season, the wardrobe classic and a must-have layer for SS23, is revisited again, so you can find the one your closet has been longing for:

Cropped or elongated, fitted or roomy, sleek or structured, colored, distressed, patchwork, with monogram pattern, embellished, with buttons, zipper, hooded…

MM6 Maison Margiela, Valentino, Gucci

DENIM DRESS: VERSATILITY UNLIMITED

Effortlessly chic and playful, and beyond versatile.

A great hero piece to create your look around: add pearls, black oversized shades, matching bag and shoes, or go for green, one of the hottest colors of this season, or silver finishing touches, or a mix of colors that make you happy, or neutral, earth tones.

And we could go on...

Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney

STATEMENT DENIM: PRINTS, EMBELLISHMENTS & BEYOND

Flowers, patches, scribbles, graffiti, foil effect, ruffles… We are talking about seriously sophisticated outfit elevators.

Take one of your choice and work your outfit around it, or mix and match away and go as dramatic, exaggerated and trend-setting as your fashion-loving heart desires.

At the end of the day, your style, your delight, right? If YOU are loving what you see in the mirror, that’s all that matters.

Casablanca, Etro, Jacquemus

DENIM FINISHING TOUCHES: THEY CAN BE A HERO!

Something for true denim aficionados and the kid in you that loves experimenting.

Want to take your total denim look to the next level? Add a pair of sneakers or heels rendered in one of the most iconic fabric of all times.

Feel like monochrome today and want to inject a dose of playfulness to your planned-to-the-last-detail attire? A denim bag can be the perfect finishing touch, or the hero piece you are looking for. Same goes in case you are in a “playing with textures” mood.

DRKSHDW, Palm Angels, Fendi

As always
, some facts for the trivia lover in you.

Originated in the late 1600s in Nimes, France, the fabric that eventually became shortened to “denim” was called "serge de Nimes”.

The first-ever pair of jeans, created by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis as sturdy work pants for miners, are celebrating their 150th anniversary this year.

Have you ever asked yourself where the word “jeans” come from? It’s derived from the French phrase "bleu de Genes" (meaning "blue of Genoa”, a city in Italy where denim was also produced).

The largest jeans ever made? 65.5 m tall and 42.7 m wide, crafted by Paris Perú. And what about the most expensive vintage jeans?

Levi Strauss & Co. (of course) from 1890, sold in 2018 for a staggering $100k!
