Gucci Bags

Gucci has been the epitome of Italian luxury and style since its inception in 1921. Among the myriad of iconic creations, Gucci bags hold a special place, representing a fusion of tradition and innovation. From the iconic GG Marmont to the Horsebit 1955 to Diana, Aphrodite, Blondie or Ophidia lines, each bag reflects the brand’s heritage of exquisite craftsmanship, and its unparalleled dedication to quality and detail. Both contemporary and classic, Gucci bags are more than fashion accessories; they’re an ode to a legacy of enduring artistry, individuality and sartorial excellence.

Debuting in 2016, the Gucci GG Marmont line is characterized by the Italian luxury fashion house’s signature Double G hardware, with most of the bags being made in matelassé chevron leather. The line, featuring the new flipped interlocking GG logo, offers different silhouettes, including wallets, flap or camera bags, and hobos.

GG Marmont line was inspired by Château Marmont’s 70’s bohemian spirit and glamour, and same as all the bags from the Alessandro Michele’s era, GG Marmont line is a tribute to Gucci’s heritage and innovation.

Gucci Ophidia Bags are a striking, vintage-infused combo of the brand’s signature elements: the GG insignia, GG canvas, and Web stripe. The line debuted in 2018, and is constantly evolving season after season. Same as the Dionysus line, Ophidia’s name inspiration has Greek origins.

The most popular Ophidia versions are the ones rendered in the classic beige and ebony GG Supreme canvas featuring the original mirrored GG motif, with the distinctive green and red Web stripe, and the Marmont GG logo, the contemporary version of Double G monogram based on the 70’s archives.

The name of the line, Horsebit 1955, references references the house’s iconic horsebit detail and the year it was first used by Gucci. Based on the vintage accent from the brand’s archives, the double ring & bar element is present on a series of different bag silhouettes.

The horsebit accent, a nod to the equestrian world, has been part of Gucci’s genetic code for almost seventy years now. Gucci Horsebit 1955, Alessandro Michele’s homage to Gucci’s rich heritage and craftsmanship, in particular to this signature element, was introduced in 2020.

Archive-inspired, revisited silhouette, super popular back in the 2000s, presented during the FW23 show. Gucci Horsebit Chain Bags boast narrow, curvy shape with two straps. Your bag, your treasure, so you can choose one, or leave both on, and wear over the shoulder, or slip your hand through the maxi Horsebit just like the models on the runway.

Another connection of Gucci’s archives to the present day, Gucci Horsebit Chain Bags are available in two sizes, in quilted leather or original GG canvas with Web stripe.

Gucci Blondie Bags debuted in 2022 on the Love Parade runway as yet another Alessandro Michele’s modern homage to the legendary luxury fashion house, yet another from his celebrations of the brand’s enduring legacy.

This line includes different silhouettes, rendered in smooth or topstitched leather, or GG canvas, and is instantly recognizable thanks to the Round Interlocking G accent, first introduced in 1971, either hardware or tonal leather patch.

Gucci Aphrodite Bag debuted on Gucci’s Cruise ’23 Cosmogonie runway, inspired by 13th-century art and astronomy. The crescent-shaped shoulder bag is crafted in supple leather, and showcases the new Double G logo, a nod to the brand’s iconic insignia, created in the 70s.

Same as the rest of the Gucci bags, Aphrodite perfectly suits the luxury fashion house’s consistent narrative of reinvention and evolution, and beautifully intertwines aesthetic features from Gucci’s storied past with the brand’s contemporary style.

Gucci Diana bags debuted in 2022. Looking back at Gucci’s impressive fashion journey, the bamboo handle belongs to Gucci signature elements since the late forties but this particular line is an homage to Princess Diana’s favorite Gucci bag.

Harmoniously blending classic beauty with a contemporary twist, Gucci Diana Bags are available in several silhouettes and shapes, showcasing two from the brand’s signature elements: bamboo handles and Double G hardware.
